St. Paul’s High School celebrated its 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with immense patriotism and fervour. The Chief Guest, Shri Surat Narender Nath, a distinguished alumnus of the 1977 batch, along with esteemed members of the Alumni, was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the School Cabinet.
The programme commenced with a prayer song, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the hoisting of the National Flag, culminating in the National Pledge. In his inspiring address, the Principal, Rev. Bro. Sudhakar Reddy, urged everyone to cherish the gift of freedom, uphold their responsibilities and contribute meaningfully towards the progress of the nation. The Chief Guest fondly reminisced about his school days, emphasised the significance of sports and encouraged students to pursue their passions with dedication.
The vibrant Inter-House presentations, particularly the Dance Tableau “Azadi Ki Virasat – Viksit Bharat Ka Sankalp,” captivated the audience and emerged as the highlight of the celebration, complemented by a stirring patriotic rendition by the School Choir.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Krithika Baid, General Secretary of the School Cabinet.
Adding a profound humanitarian dimension to the celebrations, the St. Paul’s Alumni, in association with the P. V. Narasimha Rao Memorial Charitable Trust, organised a Blood Donation Camp, reaffirming their enduring commitment to saving lives through selfless service.
The results of the Bulletin Board and Inter-House Competitions were announced amidst enthusiastic cheers from the students, adding to the excitement of the occasion.
Celebrations in Primary Block
The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour on 15 August 2026 at the Primary Block under the inspiring theme “Unity in Diversity – Our Strength.” The programme commenced with a soulful prayer song by the school choir, followed by Scripture reading by Jesherun of Class 4B and a warm welcome address by Harshil of Class 4D.
The National Song, Vande Mataram, was rendered with pride and patriotic spirit. Rev. Br. Sudhakar Reddy, Principal, and Rev. Br. Chinnappa Reddy, Vice Principal, paid tribute to the Father of the Nation by garlanding the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. In his inspiring address, Rev. Br. Sudhakar Reddy, our Principal highlighted the true essence of independence and emphasised the importance of unity and collective responsibility in building a stronger nation.
Rev. Br. Chinnappa Reddy, the Vice Principal emphasised the pivotal role of the youth in shaping the future of India and urged students to cultivate knowledge, skills and a strong sense of responsibility. He also highlighted the significance of the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram.
The cultural presentations beautifully reflected the spirit of patriotism. Kashyap presented a stirring Telugu patriotic poem, while Riya and Mustafa recited a poignant Hindi poem that vividly portrayed the freedom struggle and the sacrifices of our brave freedom fighters.
A special song by the school choir celebrating the glory of Mother India, followed by an energetic patriotic dance, filled the atmosphere with pride, emotion and love for the nation.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Junia and Eesa Sajid of Class 3A, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. The National Anthem brought the programme to a fitting close, rekindling a deep sense of pride, unity and love for our motherland..
