Drug Abuse Prevention and Awareness Programme

A Drug Abuse Prevention and Awareness Programme was conducted for the students of Class IX on 30th June, 2026 to educate them about the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of making healthy life choices.

The programme was addressed by Mr. Abhilash, Additional Inspector, Narayanguda Police Station, Hyderabad, and Ms. T. Sruthi, a Certified Trainer in Cyber Security and Anti-Narcotics Awareness accredited by the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau. The speakers sensitized students to the physical, emotional, social, and legal consequences of drug abuse and encouraged them to resist peer pressure and adopt a healthy, responsible lifestyle. As part of the programme, awareness videos on drug abuse prevention were also screened, helping students better understand the serious consequences of substance abuse through impactful visual messages.

Ms. Sruthi further engaged the students in a meaningful pledge, where they collectively affirmed, “Say No to Drugs and Say Yes to Life.” The students also enthusiastically held up a Drug Abuse Prevention poster, reinforcing the message of leading a drug-free life.

The programme concluded with the presentation of mementos to the guest speakers by the High School Counselor, Ms. Anitha Alexander, as a token of appreciation for their valuable contribution. The session was highly informative and inspiring, leaving students with a strong message about making positive choices and becoming responsible members of society.
