The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great gaiety and enthusiasm on the premises of St. Paul’s High School on 26th January, filling the atmosphere with patriotic fervour. The Special Guest for the occasion was Honourable Justice Sri Vijaysen Reddy, an esteemed alumnus of St. Paul’s High School (1986 batch).
A dignified ceremonial guard of honour was accorded to the Special Guest Honourable Justice Sri Vijaysen Reddy and the Chief Guest of the day, senior teacher Ms. Swarna Gauri.
In his address, Honourable Justice Sri Vijaysen Reddy inspired the students by recollecting his school days and emphasizing the importance of giving back to the nation and working hard to make India proud. He highlighted that there are two great pillars in a student’s life—teachers and parents. While parents, grandparents, and relatives play a vital role in character building, teachers contribute immensely to academic and personality development.
The NCC Cadets presented a splendid march past, showcasing their discipline, commitment, and dedication. The salute was received by the Principal, Rev. Bro. Sudhakar Reddy, the Primary In-charge, Rev. Bro. Chinnapa Reddy, and Sri Kiran Reddy, alumnus of St. Paul’s High School (1984 batch).
On this occasion, scholarship awards were distributed. Young Achiever Awards were also presented to students who excelled in sports such as swimming, fencing, table tennis, and handball, along with awards for the highest medal scorers in the Literary and Cultural categories.
The Academic Excellence Awards and Cent Percent Attendance Awards for students of Classes I to X were also distributed on this momentous day.
The Award Ceremony Day Finale was the announcement of the points scored by the different houses. The Trophy in the Literary Category and Cultural category was bagged by Bro. John of God House.The Trophy in Sports was bagged by St. Montfort House.
The Academic Excellence and the Discipline Trophy was both bagged by St. Gabriel House. The Overall Championship Trophy, awarded to the house with the highest cumulative points, was proudly bagged by Bro. John of God House.
The program concluded by rendering the National Anthem.
