The Season 2 – Echoes of Joy, the Inter-School Carol Competition, unfolded with resounding success on the first Sunday of Advent, November 30th, at St Paul’s High School. This sublime celebration of the birth of Christ brought together seventeen schools from across the twin cities, with each team comprising twenty talented young vocalists. The atmosphere was electric as these youthful choristers, adorned with beaming smiles, poured their hearts into melodious renditions of cherished Christmas carols.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Grace Nallaraj, a former teacher of St Paul’s High School, who delivered an inspiring message that resonated deeply with the audience. In a special moment of honour, our High School Coordinator, Ms. Saraswati, felicitated her with a shawl, Vice Principal Ms. Suju Thomas presented her with a sapling, and the Principal, Rev. Sudhakar Reddy, presented a memento as a token of appreciation.
Fun games were organized for the Christian parents of our students, fostering togetherness. The games, tailored to bring laughter and joy, and allowed parents to unwind , bond over shared experiences and create lasting memories .
A panel of expert judges, comprising distinguished musicians and educators, adjudicated the competition, which proved to be a truly unforgettable experience. The winners of the competition were Rosary Convent, who were awarded a cash prize of ten thousand rupees. St. Francis de Sales secured the 1st Runner-up position, winning a cash prize of seven thousand rupees, while Scholar’s Academy, Alkapur, took the 2nd Runner-up spot, winning a cash prize of four thousand rupees. St. Michael School and All Saints High School were awarded the Consolation Prize, receiving a cash prize of two thousand rupees each.
Certificates and mementos were given to the winners. As the echoes of joy reverberated through the venue, the true spirit of Christmas was palpably alive, filling hearts with gladness and delight. This magnificent celebration of music, faith, and fellowship undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who participated and attended the celebration.
